| CADRE – India, Centre for Action, Development, Research and Education In India, is a voluntary organization initiated by a team of social workers and grass root level activists and registered in the year 1993 in the village of Kurumathoor, in Vilavancodu Taluk of Kanyakumari District, Tamil Nadu in India. It started as an informal social activists group with a small set of activities for children and women in the areas of health, education handicraft training and cultural activities. Over the years it has gained vast experience and also expanded its projects, areas of concern and scope of programs. The main objective of the organization is to equip and empower the people especially women, through organizing, educating, conscientising and providing developmental assistance. It extends its programs and resources to all with the preferential option to the poor and toiling mass, women, youth and children and senior citizens without any discrimination of caste, class creed or gender. CADRE – India is Registered as a Society under the Tamil Nadu State Societies Registration Act 27 of 1975 (Registration number 126), Registered under FCRA, 12-A, 80G and PWD Act. We are associating with CHAI Stop TB project as a MNGO. We are interested to do a special project in TB awareness. We are planning for a novel project for TB awareness. To stop TB to select one panchayath as TB free panchayath. | |

| We are conducting TB awareness programs in the villages of Kanyakumari and other diatricts of TamilNadu and backward and tribal districts of Kerala, Orissa, UP and Andhra Pradesh,Karnataka, Maharashtra, Chatheesghat,MadhayaPradesh through our net work of NGOs. |

TB-HIV: We are partner in the II round of the GFATM and associating with GFATM round 9 with CHAI, by giving awareness to public in TB. PPCT project in Kanyakumari for blood testing for all the ANCs and the follw up for the HIV positive ANCs and HIV positive children. Fundamental Research: We conducted one research in labour involved in cashew processing units in the district and is shown in the webcite www.cadreindia.org.in |

| Declaration of interests: There are no known conflicts in the area. Other than the mentioned programs we are concentrating on the eye care programs and the community development with the involvement of the disabled people especilally multiple disbled children and the parents of them.
