Contribution

Please tell us how your organization will contribute to the Global Plan to Stop TB by briefly describing its involvement in any of the areas of work listed below:

DOTS Expansion and Enhancement:
DOLF has already advocated for more DOTS centres in some states of Nigeria.

Drug-Resistant TB:
Drug-Resistant TB:
Multi-drug resistant TB (MDR-TB): DOLF recognises that the best method of preventing MDR-TB is to ensure early detection, adherence to treatment, and strategic defaulter tracking. Hence, these are our primary focus in the fight against MDR-TB.

TB-HIV:
TB-HIV:
Without effective TB diagnosis and treatment, most people living with AIDS die within months of their TB becoming active. DOLF works with the public health system to implement HIV testing and referral for TB patients, to incorporate TB screening checklists into HIV testing facilities, and to strengthen referral systems and processes. Training for community volunteers on referral and counselling of TB suspects co-infected with HIV is a core part of our TB/HIV programs.
