Organization Description:
ASPIRE is a society devoted to research and training in primary care. Our main objective is to make available technologies in health care reach those who need them - modellig delivery strategies on the DOTS Programme. The Forum for TB Research is a section of ASPIRE and focusses on identifying research needs in TB in the following Areas:
a. Beyomd DOTS......... How to cut transmission
b. TB in children........ Howmuch is there how to diagnose and what to do about it

I retired as a Deputy Director from thr Tuberculosis research centre where I havew worked for over 30 years. I am passionately interested in working towards elimination of TB

Drug-Resistant TB:
We plan to study the role of the private sector in contributing to thee development of MDR TB..... The risk factors and the management

New Diagnostics:
We are in a position to evaluate new diagnostics

New TB Drugs:
We work with the school pf Parmaceutics Vels University and the TRC in developing new TB drugs and in new methods of TB drug delivery

Research:
We would loke to participate in any operational research programmes.
