Organization Description:
ARII is a non-profit, non-governmental African humanitarian network committed to promoting human dignity and sustainable livelihood in Africa and beyond by investing in people (first and foremost in Education, Health and Economic Development). We work in ensuring that all citizens, especially, women and children and people living in disadvantaged communities have access to equal protection under law and equal opportunity to develop and exercise the privileges of citizenship in order to participate fully and meaningfully in national life.

TB poses alot of health and economic challenge both for the individual affected, the immediate family not forgetting its serious repercussion on national development

ARII health activities include education and sensitization, training, and outreach to raise public awareness on TB education to nutritional information and health management. ARII engages community leaders, groups and religious institutions so that each person can take charge on issues of TB that could affect their health. In the following years, ARII shall seek to collaborate with other sister organizations to build a stron network and design effective and result oriented brochures for schools and documentaries that can reach out to hundreds who otherwise might not be direct beneficiaries. Our emphasis is on preventive as well as primary healthcare.

TB Care Delivery:
ARII works with a wide range of social groups, non-governmental organizations, religious groups and students bodies. We work alongside people in communities to help build relationships with key people and organizations and to identify common concerns. These ARII Ambassadors are equipped with the requisit skills on early detection and provide the beneficiary communities with basic knowledge as; resources availbale for those affected, processes for testing and aid institutions available in Ghana. The campaign seeks to erase any cultural and superstitious beliefs associated with the disease and that prevent people to seek medical attention. This creates opportunities for the community to learn new knowledge together and together kick against TB.

We empower these individuals and groups of people by providing these groups with the skills they need to affect change in their own communities.
