We became interested in tuberculosis because we discovered that there is wide gap in information and awareness of the seriousness of the illness in the rural areas. Most people in the community we work with still believe that tuberculosis is an evil attach, they lack knowledge on the prevention, treatment and care for the disease and the affected. We are planning to increase awareness in the communities via advocacy and community dialogue and increase the number of affected persons seeking health interventions as well as enlighten the community enough to stop stigmatization
