We provide Pediatric TB services to the province of Manitoba and neighboring Saskatchewan, Nunavut and Northwestern Ontario. We have the highest rates of TB in the country.
Because children are the most vulnerable but neglected population, we advocate for policies to improve contact tracing, work up and treatment of the pediatric population.

We are the only clinic in the province who sees children with tuberculosis. We are involved in the development of hospital and provincial policies for Pediatric TB.

Please tell us how your organization will contribute to the Global Plan to Stop TB by briefly describing its involvement in any of the areas of work listed below:

DOTS Expansion and Enhancement:
we are provide standardized treatment by DOT/DOPT by working closely with the local Home Care Program and provincial health branches

Drug-Resistant TB:
We are working in collaboration with the Provincial TB Program to standardize treatments for contacts (as they are often Pediatric) for drug resistant T

TB-HIV:
We work in collaboration with the Infectious Disease Specialists who test for TB, as we test for HIV in our patients

Fundamental Research:
We seek to provide more epidemiological information on Pediatric TB data
