The organization Jankalyan Samajik Sansthan (JKSS) was initiated in the year 1999 has a response to address local governance and charity issues. The members of the JKSS were members of a youth group, which later got converted into a society with focus on Tribal development and health issues. The members of the society are all young and committed to the cause of empowering the marginalised and seeking RIGHTS of the people.The membership of the society has 2 women members and from minority community. We are currently operating in the state of Chattisgarh. As we are working with FSW/MSM/IDU population, we want to educate and inform this population about TB and how to prevent from it. We want to work in ASCM field and thus want to educate more and more people about TB and its prevention. We encourage them to go DOT centre if they have continuous cough since last 14 days.

Please tell us how your organization is contributing to your country's national TB control plan:
As we are working with FSW/MSM/IDUs, we advise them that if anybody is continuously coughing since last 14 days or they know even any one out of their community who is suffering with the same symptom, please visit or ask him/her to visit nearby DOT centre to get checked themselves. We discuss in our meeting about the TB and its relation with HIV AIDS and also advise them to take preventive steps. We celebrate on 24th March World TB Day to let the public know about TB and how they can save themselves. We ask them to follow the theme of the year to keep themselves happy and healthy. We visit District TB Officer to get his support and seek his advice whenever it is needed.

TB-HIV:
TB and HIV are major public health challenges and as we work with FSW/MSM/IDUs in our Targeted Intervention project at Rajnandgaon, we always educate and inform the community about the TB and its prevention, visit to DOT centre, etc. This is a regular practice in our organization.
