CROSS also has FCRA number issued by the Home Ministry of India to receive foreign contribution. Our one of the program to eradicate tb from our community Our Vision about TB: Tuberculosis free community and combating stigma and discrimination. 1. | 1.Create awareness on TB and DOTS for the women self help group members, village leaders, community nutrition workers, school teachers, local government office staff, primary health center staff,and bank staff, 2. Street plays and awareness programs on causes and preventive measures to be taken to stop spreading of TB conducted at the village level. 3. Educate and motivate the family members to voluntarily do the check up for TB 4. Mobilize nutritional supplement and IEC materials for all the tb affected persons family members and community target groups from the government,our tb donors. 5. Meeting DTO Government hospital doctors and Government primary health centers staff's and collect the list of patients under treatment. 6. We find the TB patients in our working area and motivate educate them to take DOTS and regular checkup in hospitals. 7. Prepare Documentation of our patients for update their health conditions. |

DOTS Expansion and Enhancement: We will give Awareness, advocacy program, and DOTS Provider. We worked in TB Awareness and Advocacy program is one of the projects, CROSS has been initiated and completed it s one year (May 2009-March 2010) of service among the 20 blocks of 6,61,520 population in Puducherry State. Through this program we have covered 20 blocks and identified 425 New TB Patients and registered with DOTS. Our staff member have involved and provided service to the TB patients and created awareness and advocacy in Puducherry state. We have focused different communities like Educational Institutions, PHCs, Anganwadi Centers, Man and Women Self Help Groups, Companies/Industries and other NGOs to strengthen, empower and create awareness in the community about the consequences of TB. There were 7 field staff members and 3 administration staff have involved and provided service to the TB patients and created awareness and advocacy in pudhucherry state. |
