Vision
To help one be self reliant social-economically.
By the year 2016, CCOK vision is to see that all OVCs are able to access education and health facilities with ease. CCOK shall be more comfortable if it manages to turn around the lives of the OVCs and the guardians by empowering engaging them on incoming generating activities.

Mission: Give hope, and empower.
Giving hope mean ensuring that school going children have the opportunity to get the basic education which is very vital in today’s world. This will in turn have the right combination of support and opportunity for the OVCs to experience their own individual potential.
Programme Areas: To achieve our mission, we offer services in three main programmatic areas.
Providing Community Home Based Care (CHBC) services to OVCs in their homes by elevating the quality of care support, enhancing coping capacities and environment of acceptance.
Identifying Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) and offering care and support. The driving force behind the OVCs programme is to help create an enriching environment for children to grow up into healthy and productive members of their communities. The programme also helps with psycho-social support, economic strengthening strategies, and initiating Community based care Forums.

Introduction/Background
Coast Care Organization is a non profit organization registered by NGOs coordination board. CCOK was sub granted Global Fund TB round 9 projects by KANCO through AMREF in November 2011.
Objectives
CCOK is facilitating CHWs to do NSP contact tracing and defaulter tracing
in Msambweni and Kinango TB districts.

Contribution

Please tell us how your organization will contribute to the Global Plan to Stop TB by briefly describing its involvement in any of the areas of work listed below:

DOTS Expansion and Enhancement:
Defaulter and contact tracing with community health worker. Coast Care together other stakeholders advocacy TB and social mobilization for the fund for TB activities in coast province Kenya.Mobilized communities to combat HIV/AIDS, TB and STIs and eliminate stigma, care for the sick and support orphans and vulnerable children.
Facilitated formation of community based support groups and created a safe environment for status disclosure.
Integrated prevention and home based care activities to mitigate the impact of HIV/AIDS, TB and STIs.
Helped communities to establish and manage incoming generating project.
Forged good working relationships with other role players involved in HIV/AIDS, TB and STIs,
Liaised with government departments for facilitating people’s access to identity documents and social grants.
Made a meaningful impact by providing care and support.

Drug-Resistant TB:
. CCOK has been working on awareness to close this gap to see that community a strengthened so that to avoid MDR-TB. CCOK also realized that when patients take TB drugs the drugs make them feel pain so they stop taking the drugs which is another reason for patient who get MDR-TB. Dr dumber said that the global pal to stop TB sets out the actions and the funding needed to accelerate progress towards achieving diagnosis and treatment and develop of new tools to fight TB, new diagnostics, drugs and vaccines.

TB-HIV:
Integrated prevention and home based care activities to mitigate the impact of HIV/AIDS, TB and STIs.Mobilized communities to combat HIV/AIDS, TB and STIs and eliminate stigma, care for the sick and support orphans and vulnerable children.

New Diagnostics:
CCOK has been working on defaulter and new smear positive contact tracing there for finding there are more TB patents who are out there spreading TB.
