Organization Description:
Tuberculosis, from time immemorial has been prevalent in the Lawra district in the Upper West Region which is one of the poorest and the most deprived in the country. Little or no success has been achieved in combating the disease due to scanty or poor human resource capacity coupled with non-involvement of NGOs, stakeholders and civil society organization in the District. The non-availability of funds is a factor to put in place a strategic plan involving the stakeholders, civil society organizations, NGOs and adequate human resource capacity to help eradicate or reduce TB which has been a major concern in the District. Currently organizing community durbars educating community members about the disease, prevention and treatment.
