Centre for outreach programmes (CORPS) is a non-profit making organization promoted by some young professionals to provide basic education on core health, economic, social and legal issues that are vital for human and social development. Our goal is to provide a safe haven for persons living with HIV and AIDS (PLHIV) to develop their skills and capacity to be able to live meaningful life styles and to impact positively on the rest of society so that stigma and discrimination against persons living with HIV and AIDS will be reduced. To be able to achieve this goal CORPS aims at providing basic but essential HIV/AIDS information and education in the form of town meetings with opinion leaders, socialization meetings with PLHIV, establishing animal and food crop farming as a means of income generation, provision of food and nutritional supplementation and assistance. CORPS also provides services in other related ways as first level HIV/AIDS counselors to PLHIV and institutions who require a better understanding of HIV problems related to welfare, legal, social issues and advise. Where necessary we may give referrals for appropriate remedy.
Since 2005, Centre for Outreach Programmes has undertaken numerous projects in partnership with some organizations. Under the MSHAP project by the Ghana AIDS commission, center for outreach programmes have reached a number of communities with HIV/AIDS education and awareness programmes. CORPS has also built strong ties with opinion leaders, chiefs and some community members to become agents of change by mobilizing their peers for such education.
Center for outreach programmes has also organised Mobile outreach counseling and testing for the general public within the Upper East and West and Northen regions over the last 2 years with funding from Sulley Minig Company and African Minning company.

| through advocacy we channel TB prevention messages across six out of 10 regions in Ghana. We also help in TB case case detection through sputum collection to the Laboratory and our community volunteers also serve as treatment supporters in the community.Again we also organize workplace TB education and case management. Finally we support our clients with Enablers Package to be able to complete their treatment course. |
