Organization Description:
1. Mission: Provide high-quality, high-impact, highly ethical pediatric and family-centered health care, health professional training and clinical research, focused on HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria, malnutrition and other conditions impacting the health and well-being of children and families in Swaziland.

2. We provide direct clinic care for children and families affected by HIV/TB and we are the pediatric reference center for both diseases.

3. We are trying to improve pediatric TB care at National level. We are involved in a TB reach grant currently, we are constructing a pediatric TB clinic that will the National Reference for pediatric TB, we are the main pediatric technical partner...

We are the main technical partner for pediatric TB. We offer trainings and attachments to health care workers, we are members of the National Technical Working Group (both for adults and children). We also provide direct care, as we are a BMU.

Contribution

Please tell us how your organization will contribute to the Global Plan to Stop TB by briefly describing its involvement in any of the areas of work listed below:

Drug-Resistant TB:
We are planning to start a pediatric TB center that will offer pediatric MDRTB services. Around September-October 2014

TB-HIV:
Keep offering TB-HIV care at our 3 centers in Swaziland, while using our experience to advocate at National level for children affected by TB.

Fundamental Research:
We are implementing a research grant, together with the Global TB Program (Texas Children's Center for Global Health). This will study the immunology effect of helmint infection in relation with TB in children. It will start around September-October 2014
