The Mission of the Forum is to promote lung health worldwide through a partnership of international respiratory societies and organizations that share and coordinate their collective knowledge, expertise, and resources.

This Mission will be attained by the consideration of needs and the proposal of projects to meet these needs, which would be implemented jointly or individually by the member organizations

TB control is managed by the member societies of FIRS and by a network of more than 70,000 professionals.

TB Care Delivery:
FIRS advocates for lung health including Tuberculosis through publications,scientific journals, courses, conferences, webinars etc

Drug-Resistant TB:
Members of FIRS conduct clinical trials and provide technical assistance to countries. Courses are conducted in all regions of the world.

Research:
Members conduct operational research courses in many regions of the world.
