Organization Description:
Centre for Community Regeneration and Development is an active non profit organisation working with local communities to foster the social and economic empowerment of marginalized and vulnerable children, women, youth and indigenous people. It is in Special Consultative Status with ECOSOC-United Nations since April 2015. Our focus on TB has been mainly on educating rural communities on approaches an the importance of prevention and early diagnosis and linking rural communities and patients to state and non state support services within our health program. Our desire is to continue this outreach for the next 10 years

Please tell us how your organization is contributing to your country's national TB control plan:
At the moment, our organisation within its health outreach program the education of 23 school children on TB, organizing community base workshops during which sessions on TB prevention and early diagnosis are led by 5 volunteers every two weeks especially within rain-forest communities of the South West and Littoral Regions of Cameroon.

TB Care Delivery:
Mobilizing the most marginalized and poor families to early diagnosis services, education and peer education

New Diagnostics:
Focuses on working with local health units to connect health staff with TB victims in the communities for easy diagnosis through out of hospitals health camps

Research:
We are also building the capacity of our health volunteers to lead community led surveys to map low and high resilient TB target communities
