our focus in the current AIDS related program address, OVC (Orphans and Vulnerable Children)with TB being and opportunistic infection for people living with HIV-AIDS through drug adherence,referrals, defaulter tracing and counseling.

Contribution

Please tell us how your organization will contribute to the Global Plan to Stop TB by briefly describing its involvement in any of the areas of work listed below:

TB Care Delivery:
Caritas Diocese of Garissa is registered FBO in 1984. It uses the approach of Community units that promotes developments and sustainability of community units and systems which include Mobilization and sensitization.This has enabled community to contribute to long term of health and other interventions by caritas at community level.Caritas health intervention priority area revolves HIV /TB care and support targeting 809 Households and 3000 OVC in Tana River county for 7 years, with the following clear objective:
1. Delivering preventive health education at community level through community health workers
2. Increased uptake of health service through community health Assistants
3. HIV/TB stigma and discrimination reduction
4. supporting policy advocacy for PLWHAs
5. Achieving vision 2030 of getting to zero
6. HIV/TB defaulter tracing
7. Drug adherence
Caritas intends to implement TB project build capacity of 250 community health workers, and 20 community health assistants attached to community units in TB Prevention, care and support. The community units, Community Health workers and community health assistants are expected to develop a TB advocacy strategy that would facilitate scaling up of domestic resources for TB in Tana River.
