Organization Description:
Action for the Disadvantaged People (ACDIPE) is a voluntary Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) that has been in forefront of saving lives of children with cardiovascular heart disease and other illness since 2007.Started by 5 members with a mission "To contribute to a process of Giving hope to orphans, vulnerable children and other disadvantaged people by facilitating to acquire knowledge and skills required to make them self reliant".
The organisation operates programmes based on direct response to real needs within the local community and to support the fundamental needs and rights of children and orphaned affected by HIV/AIDS.
• Treatment Support for heart patients
• HIV/AIDS education to prevent further spread of the virus
• Counseling people living with HIV/AIDS and their families
• Social support to mitigate the impact of HIV/AIDS on families through supporting orphans and vulnerable children.
• Awareness, care and support of cardiovascular diseases
• Advocacy and Networking to promote and protect the rights of patients
.We are interested in receiving updates in the management of TB which common with Heart Patients
.To participate in the advocacy of TB Elimination
.To share ACDIPE experience in TB Management with other service providers,program designers and policy makers

Uganda Heart Institute screens patients and refer them to ACDIPE where they receive support.

TB Care Delivery:
TASO carries out advocacy for TB Elimination and availability of drugs at national and community levels in uganda

ACDIPE Monitors patients administration of drugs given to patients at their homes
ACDIPE supports and care for screened TB patients from Uganda Heart Institute in Uganda
ACDIPE Distributes IEC materials in the community and carries out TB campaigns in the community
