DOTS and public-private partnerships showcases how the Mahavir Trust Hospital, a private hospital in Hyderabad City, India, serves as a link between local private practitioners and the government in the provision of DOTS. The Mahavir Trust Hospital has gained the trust of the local private practitioners and works closely with them to ensure that TB patients are effectively treated and cured using the DOTS treatment strategy-achieving cure rates of ninety percent and more.
