The Stop TB Partnership and ACSM at Country Level Sub Group works with partners and country-level journalists to increase and improve the amount and quality of TB coverage by journalists working in TB endemic countries.
Support given to country-level journalists include invitation and travel to cover major conferences, such as the Union World Conference on Lung Health as well as trainings to increase reporting capacity and knowledge of the latest in TB.

Journalist training workshops
Paris, France -- 15 October 2008
The Stop TB Partnership organized a half-day training workshop for country-level journalists on health reporting. The training provided background needed for good reporting on tuberculosis, an update on the latest research on drugs, vaccines and diagnostics for the disease; and an interactive workshop in which participants discussed approaches to handling stories on TB. The journalists, from all WHO Regions, were also invited to attend and cover the Union Conference.
