6th Meeting of the Stop TB Working Group on MDR-TB, Tbilisi, Georgia
The sixth meeting of the Working Group on MDR-TB of the Stop TB Partnership (WG) was held from 20 to 22 September in Tbilisi, Georgia. More than 170 participants attended the meeting, representing countries, bilateral and multilateral agencies, international organizations, nongovernmental organizations, pharmaceutical industries and universities. Overall, the WG meeting took stock of lessons learned on the six major hurdles to scale up management of MDR-TB worldwide (management of second-line anti-TB drugs, laboratory capacity, community involvement, recording and reporting, infection control and planning of scale up).
