Subgroups

The structure of the NDWG involves six Subgroups in charge of carrying out technical projects in specific areas. In order to better respond to the most recent priorities in diagnostics development and the objectives defined in the new Global Plan to Stop TB 2011-2015, the New Diagnostics Working Group has been reorganized in 2011 and the number of Subgroups has been reduced from nine to six.

The six Subgroups have been organized in a matrix structure, which ensures higher interaction between the groups and ideal representation of the cross-cutting issues with the technical Subgroups.

In order to ensure better coordination and communication within the working group, Subgroup Coordinators are represented in the Core Group of the New Diagnostics Working Group.
