Introductory paragraph

Infection control is a public health specialty needed to prevent the spread of diseases such as TB which is spread through aerosolized droplets after infected people cough or sneeze. There are many policies that outline activities which can be implemented to minimize the risk of spreading TB infection, especially in health care facilities and congregate settings. This page is designed to provide information about up-to-date policy guidance on TB infection control and share the activities of the TB Infection Control Subgroup of the Global TB/HIV Working Group, Stop TB Partnership.
