TRUENAT AND X-RAY/CAD ROLL-OUT IN NIGERIA UNDER THE STOP TB PARTNERSHIP/USAID NEW TOOLS PROJECT

Our partners in Nigeria (KNCV TB Foundation and IHVN) together with the USAID mission organized trainings in November on how to use the ultra-portable digital X-ray systems with AI/CAD software and the Truenat systems they received through GDF under the Stop TB/USAID New Tools Project.

The 10 backpack Delft Light X-ray systems with CAD4TB software perpetual licenses will allow Nigeria to improve TB screening in hard-to-reach places, and the 38 Truenat systems will make it easier for people in Nigeria to receive rapid molecular testing for TB where they seek care. The Molbio local agent has already started on-site installations and hands-on training, and testing of people has already started.

The New Tools Project is the largest multi-country roll-out of Truenat, with 301 systems and tests for 584,000 people being provided to 9 countries. The Project is also providing 63 ultra-portable digital X-ray systems with AI/CAD software to seven countries.
