Brief description of event: *
This is the third annual TB Survivor Hill Day held in Washington, DC. Survivors from throughout the US assemble in DC and connect with representatives and advocates from TB organizations to raise awareness about TB. Messages deliver d to staff in Congressional offices include the need for robust funding for domestic TB programs, for global TB activities with which the USG is involved, for R&D into new drugs/drug regimens, and a vaccine. Survivors’ personal stories provide a face and a voice to the impact of the disease in the lives of the survivors and their family, friends, and communities.
