THCG MISSION
To build capacity and respond with vigor compassion and empathy to socio economic health and environmental problems that impact negatively on the vulnerable members of the society.
HIV AIDS
The group does HIV awareness creation in line with BCC that includes health talks in schools, in community and public gatherings, distribution of IEC materials, condom demonstrations and distribution of condoms. The group members refer members for VCT in the nearest health facilities, PMTCT, CD4 and formation of support groups.
The group has also successfully implemented a VMMC project targeting 15 yrs and above in Mumias district. This was courtesy of NACC TOWA funds.
TB
The group also carries out TB awareness forums and do refer clients for testing and TB management at the nearest health facility. This includes tracing of defaulters and ensuring they are back on treatment.

RESOURCE CENTRE
The group runs a resource centre that has a variety of materials on HIV/AIDS , malaria, TB, PMTCT, Home based care, Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision, Reproductive health, family planning, among other topics that concern health. The resource centre is open to the public as the group believes knowledge is power.

TB Care Delivery:
We have been involved in advocacy ,communication and social mobilization within the Mumias East county within Western region through drug defaulter tracing ,identification and returning them back to the nearest health facilities for DOTs together with their immediate contacts for screening.
