1) Red Cross of Serbia is National based organization that advocates and raises awareness on TB issues
2) We are interested in tuberculosis because we wish to increase resilience of the vulnerable populations.
3) Under a GF grant, Red Cross of Serbia is providing a link between outreach population groups and the health care system and facilitates building relations of mutual confidence in order to increase access of targeted populations. Implementation strategy is focused on special interventions related to TB, active case finding in high risk population groups, Roma living in slums, soup-kitchen users, IDUs, sex workers,TB/HIV co-infection,contact tracing,

Red Cross of Serbia (RCS) is working jointly with Ministry of health and NGOs to reduce the burden of tuberculosis in the Republic of Serbia through strengthening the DOTS implementation, scaling up MDR TB Interventions and TB/HIV collaborative activities and strengthening TB Control in vulnerable populations. RCS acts as an umbrella organization for coordinated TB actions in the civil sector in Serbia.
