The main focus of work of the Association is to protect the rights and freedoms, first of all, health rights, as well as to meet the social, cultural, economic interests of people who are ill or sick with tuberculosis, and those affected by the problem of tuberculosis.
The Association promotes the coordination and consolidation of the efforts of people who recover from tuberculosis to overcome the tuberculosis threat, foster fruitful constructive interaction of these people, local communities and the health care system in ensuring the public health of Ukrainian citizens.

The Association aims to improve health and social care and support of patients during treatment; Assistance in meeting the needs of patients; raising the awareness of the general population about tuberculosis, forming of the patient-oriented model of providing phthisiatrician care, realizing by patients and medical staff their rights and obligations, contributes to increasing patient adherence to the treatment.
