Funding Tracks

TB REACH offers three funding tracks that are defined by different maximum grant thresholds. The purpose of this three-pronged grant approach is to incentivize grantees to firstly evaluate the impact of innovative ideas. Once an innovative intervention has demonstrated impact under a TB REACH type 1 grant or via any other external funding source, it is eligible to apply for a TB REACH type 2 grant to realize its scalability. Once an innovative intervention has demonstrated its scalability under a TB REACH type 2 grant or via any other external funding source, it is eligible to apply for a TB REACH type 3 grant to realize its scale-up or sustainability. Special funding may at times also be available (e.g. for innovative product development in Wave 5).

The maximum grant thresholds for the different grant thresholds are as follows:

Type 1: Proof of Concept (up to USD 400,000)

Type 2: Focus on Scalability (up to USD 1,000,000)

Type 3: Scale up & Sustainability (more than USD 1,000,000)

Special Funding (up to USD 150,000)
