Overview:  The Stop TB Partnership Secretariat will host a half-day meeting for members of the Advocacy Network for Resource Mobilization (subscribers to the Stop TB Advocacy list serve) at the Union conference in Lille in October 2011.  The meeting will complement activities planned throughout the conference at the 'Advocacy Corner'.

 

The objectives of the meeting are to:

 

·        Share recent advocacy challenges and opportunities

·        Provide a platform for advocates interested in global TB resource mobilization and policy change to highlight emerging issues

·        Obtain feedback from advocates and others on the current state of TB advocacy and how to strengthen alignment and impact among partners

·        To rally advocates and those interested in advocacy,  to amplify the call for bold and ambitious advocacy throughout the UNION conference

 

Audience: The meeting will be open to all who will be in Lille, but specifically aimed at TB advocates who are targeting donors and decision makers.

 

Format: A series of presentations by leading global advocates, Stop TB Partnership Secretariat staff and guests, followed by group discussion. A full agenda will be circulated before the meeting, along with full details of the venue.
