Universal Access of TB Services to People Living with HIV: Harnessing Collaboration and Coordination
Satellite symposium organized by the Stop TB and HIV Departments of WHO, the International AIDS Society, the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB and Malaria, UNAIDS and the Forum for Collaborative HIV Research. It is to be held on Sunday 3 August 2008 from 15:45 to 17:30 in Room SR 10 (950) at the Banamex Centro.

This satellite session will address the key, practical activities that need to be implemented in order to reduce the burden of TB in people living with HIV and ensure the universal access of TB prevention, diagnosis and treatment services. Particular emphasis will be given to the challenges and opportunities of mainstreaming the Three 'I's for HIV/TB - intensified TB case finding, Isoniazid preventive therapy and infection control for TB in HIV care services in order to advocate for their inclusion as core functions of HIV care services.
