NEWS ALERT
1 October 2025 | Geneva, Switzerland
Stop TB Partnership (STP) is a United Nations-hosted partnership committed to ending tuberculosis (TB). In recognition of the critical, yet under-celebrated efforts of TB-affected communities and TB civil society, STP awards an annual prize for professionalism, efforts, and excellence in advancing access to TB services for all who need them. The prize is specifically aimed at the efforts of grassroots organizations from TB high-burden countries.
Since 2021, Stop TB Partnership has been joined by Humana People to People Foundation (Humana) to award this prize and is again delighted to be joined by Humana as the co-supporter of this unique award for 2025.
Previous themes have included increasing access to TB services for key and vulnerable populations, community-led monitoring, support for TB-affected communities in the context of COVID-19, and ending TB stigma through art.
This year, the focus of the award is “Keeping the Lights On and Providing Critical TB Services to People with TB”. Earlier this year, STP launched a fundraising campaign in collaboration with TB-affected communities called “Keep the Lights On” to sustain TB survivor networks and local community organizations previously supported by the Challenge Facility for Civil Society (CFCS) and country-level Stop TB Partnership platform grants. The campaign funds along with the contribution from Humana will be provided through the STP Community Award to an organisation that can demonstrate resilience, efforts, commitment, and impact in the face of a challenging global health funding environment to provide key TB services (including TB and DR TB sensitization, screening, diagnosis, prevention, treatment and support services) to people with TB.
The winning nominee will receive 55,000 USD in the form of a co-funded grant from the Stop TB Partnership’s Country & Community Support for Impact team and Humana to enable the continuation of their work.
Eligibility:
Organisations must meet the following criteria to be eligible for the Award:
