Global Fund Executive Director and Stop TB Partnership community representatives discuss accelerating the fight against TB

4 September 2013 - Geneva - Representatives of civil society and communities affected by tuberculosis (TB) met with Mark Dybul, Executive Director of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB and Malaria during a visit to Geneva this week. At the meeting the representatives discussed the essential role of communities and vulnerable groups in scaling up efforts to tackle TB.

They are, from left to right: Timur Adbullaev, constituency representative for communities affected by TB on the Stop TB Partnership Coordinating Board; Alberto Colorado, member of the Global Coalition of TB Activists (GCTA), Dr Mark Dybul, Executive Director of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB and Malaria; and Blessina Kumar, Vice-Chair of the Stop TB Partnership Coordinating board and member of the GCTA.

The representatives were visiting Geneva to participate in a meeting on TB and Human Rights in applications for Global Fund grants.
