TB Community Award
Since 2016, the Stop TB Partnership has given an annual Community Award to recognize significant contributions to the TB response by local community organisations and people affected by TB in community mobilization, access to quality TB services, community-led monitoring, grassroots peer support, and TB stigma reduction.
Winners have included STP Tajikistan, CISMAT Sierra Leone, TBpeople, Survivors Against TB India, TB Proof South Africa, Americas TB Coalition, Network of TB Champions Kenya, Club des Amis Damien DR Congo, TBpeople Ukraine, Janna Health Foundation Nigeria, Bridge Consultant Foundation Pakistan.
The theme for the 2020 Stop TB Partnership Community Award focused on recognizing the achievements of TB-affected communities and civil society in overcoming the obstacles of the pandemic to champion TB at the global, regional, or national level.
In 2021, Stop TB Partnership was pleased to partner with Humana People to People Foundation in awarding Survivors Against TB (India) and TB Proof (South Africa) for their incredible efforts in championing TB and working to reduce TB stigma and related barriers to accessing TB services.
The Stop TB Partnership is delighted to announce the winners of the 2024 community award, a global recognition celebrating groundbreaking efforts to address TB stigma through creative arts. This year, the award with the largest financial prize designed specifically for TB communities received 32 submissions from 28 countries, showing the power of innovation and community-driven solutions.
