24-hour concert is back for World TB Day 2011

22 March - Geneva - ToBe Continued, a 24-hour music marathon organized for World TB Day is back for 2011. Known by the Italian abbreviation for tuberculosis, TBC, the event is a unique experience - an original concert that starts at midnight and continues all day until midnight on 24 March, the whole of World TB Day.

During the 24 hour period, musicians from around the world will connect to a website which will broadcast their concerts live. Each musician has a 30 minute slot, creating a relay of sound that will range from klezmer to classical music, from ambient to experimental music, from jazz to ethno.

The initiative is coordinated by Antonio Della Marina, a contemporary musician and composer, and by Moreno Miorelli, the artistic director of the annual gathering "Stazione di Topolò/Postaja Topolove.

The concert is held under the under the aegis of the Global Health Incubator, a 'laboratory' established in Topolo'/Topolove as part of the 'Stazione' event, to create links between the worlds of creativity and science.
