13 July 2017 - Geneva, Switzerland - The Stop TB Partnership mourns the sudden passing away of Dr Sabine Rüsch-Gerdes, a close colleague and friend for many years. Dr. Rüsch-Gerdes had devoted her entire working life to the fight against tuberculosis (TB). Dr Rüsch-Gerdes was a leading figure in the TB diagnostics community and her work in this area has not only helped to shape the science around TB laboratory diagnosis but also inspired a generation of scientists and microbiologists in many countries.
