Stop TB Partnership’s Focus Group on AI-Based Imaging in TB (FG-AITB) experience sharing webinars

To facilitate south-south learning on early experiences and exchange lessons learned on CAD and X-ray implementation and to meet global demand for support in rolling these digital tools, Stop TB Partnership launched a global platform ‘Stop TB Focus Group on AI-Based Imaging in TB (FG-AITB).’

Experience sharing from Nigeria – Webinar 3 (FG-AITB)

Webinar 3 – ‘Experience sharing from Nigeria’ was the first in a series of webinars hosted to a global audience, showcasing the results, challenges, and lessons learned from implementers IHVN and KNCV. Held on the 5th of May at 2:00 pm CET, this webinar zoned in on USAID’s Introducing New Tools Project (iNTP) project in Nigeria, which received 10 Delft Light ultra-portable X-rays and CAD4TB software and was the first country to implement these tools under the project. Opening remarks were held by Dr. Lucica Ditiu, MD (ED, Stop TB Partnership), Dr. YaDiul Mukadi (Technical Advisor, USAID), and Dr. Anyaike Chukwuma (Director and National Coordinator, NTBLCP). Key presentations sharing the implementation experience were presented by Dr. Eze Chukwu (KNCV) and Dr. Jamiu Olabamiji (IHVN). India Experience – Webinar 4 (FG-AITB)

The 2nd webinar of the Stop TB Focus Group on AI-Based Imaging in TB (FG-AITB) platform was also successfully held on the 21st of June at 2 pm CET. Webinar 4 – India Experience showcased the experiences from two projects of TB REACH, implemented by Innovators In Health (IIH) and TB Alert India. Since 2010, TB REACH has supported over 13 pilot projects using CAD/AI and digital x-ray, which various partners around the globe have successfully implemented. Dr. Jacob Creswell gave opening remarks (TB REACH, Stop TB Partnership), Dr. B. K. Mishra (State TB Officer, Bihar, NTEP India), and Dr. Rajeswari (District TB Control Officer, NTEP India). Dr. Smriti Ridhi gave the presentations from Innovators In Health (IIH) and Vikas Panibatla from TB Alert India.
