The Stop TB Partnership wants to make sure that the tuberculosis (TB) community is aware of important TB funding opportunities available right now. The funding is offered for a spectrum of projects and organizations, and we strongly urge you to read below to see if your country, organization and projects are eligible. There are currently three open call-for-proposals and a further one to be announced next week.
Eligible countries are the USAID TB priority countries: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Burma, Cambodia, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Kyrgyzstan, Malawi, Mozambique, Nigeria, Pakistan, Philippines, South Africa, Tajikistan, Tanzania, Uganda, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, Zambia, and Zimbabwe) and regional platforms (Central Asia and East Africa).
Fighting TB is a top priority for the United States Government. The U.S. Agency for International Development’s (USAID) new TB business model, the "Global Accelerator to End Tuberculosis," catalyzes investments across multiple countries and sectors to end the epidemic while helping countries along their Journey to Self-Reliance. USAID has been a leader in the global fight against TB for over two decades and has provided TB treatment to more than 13 million people, including over 300,000 suffering from multidrug-resistant TB (MDR). Since 2000, the USAID TB program has achieved a nearly 50 percent reduction in TB-related deaths, and with our partners, we’ve saved more than 54 million lives.
TB LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS NETWORK PROJECT - USAID is proud to announce the TB Local Organizations Network (LON) Annual Program Statement (APS), as a key component of the USAID Global Accelerator to End Tuberculosis. Through LON, USAID seeks to partner directly with local organizations in USAID TB priority countries to implement locally generated solutions to improve TB diagnosis, treatment, and prevention services. Partnering directly with local organizations, including civil society organizations, faith-based organizations, private sector service delivery provider organizations, and academic institutions, LON prioritizes country empowerment and accountability to improve TB services and leverages additional resources in USAID TB priority countries. LON will build on the capacity and available resources of local institutions to achieve self-reliance of national TB programs. Partnering directly with local institutions and organizations will maximize the potential impact of USAID resources to make sustainable improvements in TB services by accelerating the transition to local accountability and ownership. LON will create new partnerships and opportunities to address the challenges of TB and assist countries as they progress on their Journey to Self-Reliance.

Eligible countries: countries with member or observer status in the Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie and eligible for Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (The "Global Fund") grants.
The Initiative 5% is France’s response to a view shared by a range of actors in French-speaking countries, whereby the latter have been encountering repeated issues either in gaining access to the resources of the Global Fund or in deploying financial resources that have been received. The Initiative takes the form of an indirect contribution from France to the Global Fund equivalent in an amount equal to 5% of the total French contribution to the Global Fund each year, or €18 million annually, over the period 2014 to 2016.

THE QUEST FOR INNOVATIONS TOWARDS ELIMINATING TB (TB QUEST) is an ambitious nationwide search for innovators working towards solutions to eliminate TB and aims to support and catalyze innovation and entrepreneurship to solve key challenges in combating TB in India. The Quest is envisioned as a means to fast-track adoption and scale-up of innovative platforms or practices, which have received prior validation. These innovations will have strong potential to strengthen and transform key aspects of the TB care ecosystem in a nonlinear and disruptive manner. The Quest invites product and process innovations focused on bringing transformative and non-linear change in the following areas:

TB REACH Wave 7 call for proposals will open on February 18th. This year, Stop TB’s rapid funding mechanism will seek innovators in TB case finding, treatment outcomes and private sector engagement who can also address the underlying issue of gender inequality that fuel TB epidemics at community level.
The two-stage application process will open February 18th with a letter of intent, where applicants will have to detail their idea for tackling TB epidemics in their setting and their contribution to promoting gender equality and empowerment of women and girls in TB response.
