What kind of technical assistance can be provided by TB REACH?

  1. Design of interventions to improve case finding. As countries move to improve TB case detection initiatives new approaches and interventions will need to be developed and tested based on country-specific realities. The hundreds of experiences TB REACH has supported globally place us well for helping to design such approaches and pull experiences and lessons learned from previous work.
  2. Monitoring and evaluation of case detection activities. TB REACH has developed a framework for monitoring and evaluating case detection interventions which has formed the basis for the WHO M&E framework on TB screening and is increasingly used in countries to document the successes and lessons learned from different case finding approaches. Stop TB/TB REACH can assist in this area.
  3. TB REACH can also link countries to developers of new tools as we have been supporting many new technologies in this and together with GDF provide support to countries to help think about introducing new tools for the detection of people with TB, supporting them throughout treatment, and providing patient centred care.
