Dr Chishala Chabala is a paediatrician and lecturer at the University of Zambia, School of Medicine and a part-time faculty member at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. He is an investigator on multinational collaborative paediatric clinical trials on tuberculosis, HIV treatment and pneumonia. He is a long-term and active member of the Child and Adolescent TB working group of the Stop TB Partnership which is managed by the WHO Global Tuberculosis Programme and has previously participated on paediatric national TB programme reviews in several African countries. He has provided technical input in the development of the national TB strategic plan, treatment guidelines and training materials for adults and children in Zambia.
